Niko extends warranty scheme to four years

Niko has extended the warranty on all of its home automation products to an impressive four years – a full two years longer than the legal requirement.

The new extended warranty period covers all existing Niko products, as well as the recently launched Niko Home Control range.

Niko Home Control is a new, intelligent, electrical installation that can be operated centrally via a touchscreen or a smartphone. Thanks to the installation software, time driven functions and conditions can be programmed for lights and heating in every room whilst the innovative eco-display gives residents feedback about their energy, gas and water consumption in the home at any time. To visibly reduce consumption, they simply press the eco-button and all appliances that do not need to be on while they are away are instantly turned off. Homeowners can choose which modules to install, depending on their lifestyles, and they retain complete control over their installation and their home. Moreover, Niko Home Control’s components use a minimum of energy.

Commenting on the new extended warranty, Stephen Calder, sales director for Niko (UK) said, ‘We are delighted with this latest improvement in our offering. We are justly proud of our reputation for the reliability of our products; this latest extension to the warranty is a great demonstration of our confidence in our products – and also our commitment to providing the best service and support to our customers.’

The warranty period applies to the entire Niko product range and comes into force on the date of delivery – consisting of repair, replacement or credit note, all free of any additional charges for the entire four year term of the warranty.

The only exceptions to this warranty would result from faulty installation, incorrect use or operation of the product or external damage caused by such events as damp or overvoltage.
