New HQ heralds new era for EEIBA
The Electrical & Electronics Industries Benevolent Association (EEIBA) has relocated its headquarters to a new building following last year’s business review.The charity, along with its team of seven full time staff, has moved into a two storey, modern building in Wandsworth which is a managed, fully serviced premises.
Val Austin, general manager of EEIBA, said, ‘Our previous offices in Balham were quite old and far too big for our needs, which was not conducive to providing an efficient and effective working environment for our team.
‘In addition, EEIBA received an excellent offer for the purchase of the premises, so our trustees decided this was a good opportunity to capitalise on a rather worn out asset.
‘Now that we are operating out of managed offices, this allows us to focus on our core offering rather than spending our time running a building ourselves. Following last year’s business review, our new philosophy is to concentrate our time and effort on adding value to the charity and delivering the best possible service to its beneficiaries.
‘Most importantly the location, which is only 10 miles from our previous office, ensures our employees can easily manage the new commute and I’m pleased to say everyone is settling in very well with our new surroundings.’
As well as moving offices, EEIBA has been updating its website. Visitors to the site will now be able to view forthcoming events and latest news, as well as a dedicated area for those living in Scotland. To find out more, visit www.eeiba.org.
